I have thoroughly enjoyed this series, and the author took too long providing us with this latest installment of “Omega Force.” The series has chronicled the (mis)adventures of 6 souls (5 organic and one synth) who found each other when they were about to be sold into slavery or murdered. Having saved each other, they formed a strong bond and have used their talents in an attempt to help others. I have been a fan of Sci-fi for a very long time, and I cannot name another story, or stories, where the author has provided 6 individuals of 6 different species from different planets, all of which have been given six different histories and therefore completely different personalities, and has knit them into an interesting group who fight against evildoers, while bickering like only family members can. They sometimes make me laugh out loud (to the dismay of my wife who usually is trying to sleep while I listen with headphones late at night). If other readers know of another series even close to this one, please let me know. If you are new to this series, I strongly suggest that you start at book #1, “Omega Rising.” This book centers around finding and restoring Lucky to the living, and dealing with a threat from their common past. This book does not resolve this threat, and if you find that you hate cliff hangers, well, wait for #11 before finishing #10. Note to Mr Dalzelle, please hurry up with the next book!!
