This is the story that I hope everyone can learn from. A lifetime of poor decision making resulted in a man’s death. The author does a great job of portraying the murder victim as a monster deserving his fate, and insinuates that most men are just like him instead of the few that actually are. The author tries to portray the murderer as innocent and had no choice in the matter when nothing could be further from the truth. She allowed herself to believe that she could do nothing and chose to shoot her sleeping husband when she very easily could’ve done something far less dramatic years earlier. If nothing else you should learn from this book that one should deal with problems before they become a catastrophe.
