Overall this was an enjoyable listen and well worth picking up. At first I was enjoying the pop culture references but at some points it just became too much and took away from the actual story. The book crossovers were interesting but some of the crossover was a bit of a stretch and felt tossed in and didn’t really add to my enjoyment (even though I was familiar with the crossover characters for the most part). With that said, everything I enjoyed about the previous books was present and this was a great listen, especially if you want to listen to something that doesn’t take itself seriously.
Narration was superb. If you’ve listened to the previous books you know exactly what to expect from Jeffrey Kafer (if you haven’t, why did you jump to this one?). Interesting character voicing and great performance overall. I have yet to be disappointed by this narrator’s performances.
