I’m a huge fan of the Dresden Files, and I feel like this author has written a love letter to the DF series by carefully crafting this book to be extremely similar. is it a bit of a blatant rip off? yeah, definitely, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. if you’re itching for more Dresden files then this is perfect. it’s literally the Dresden files but set in new Orleans with a necromancer instead of a wizard, it could totally be in the same world as DF. baldree was fantastic in the audio narration as well!
