First off I liked it. I listened to the whole thing. It was worth it too…but, it took my realization that this tale felt like an animation series versus say a television or traditional realistic literary world to really enjoy it. The inclusion of magic into spaceships and aliens was handled comically and flavored the whole tale in my opinion. But the adventure and danger was well done. The characters were always developing. And there was just enough of what-the-hell-just-happened to enjoy the ride. All in all you couldn’t ask for more product for your money with this Black Ocean collection. I’d recommend it it to Sci-fi fans and magic fans alike.
