I definitely did not dislike anything about the book, I think the characters are all perfectly agreeable, the complications and little elements of drama seem absolutely decent and the fantasy elements are not bad.
It is just, there is not really a lot of tension, you do not really feel like you have to go on to find out how it ends, it just pleasantly flows along.
I would definitely give the author another try maybe, but I think it was overall maybe a little bland.
