This book was a bit of a departure from Horton’s previous book series (The Borrowed World, Locker Nine, The Mad Mick). This time the main character isn’t a die hard prepper and doesn’t know much about operational security. But through a combination of stubbornness, determination, and luck, he somehow manages to do what he set out to do and live to tell the tale. I’ll be interested to see what happens in book 2!
