Although I’m neither in law enforcement nor a scientist, I am intrigued how the evolution of science has found a place in the criminal justice system. This book is about a group of people that found a way to make a positive difference in the world despite individual apptitudes that, at first glance, may not have a place in the fierce battle against the criminal element.
It was written in the same way the group strives to communicate with others not familiar with their field…direct explanations with no hint of “talking down” at the reader.
The author effectively conveys the story without the use of foul language. There is a part in the book where f-word word is used…it is when quoting the testimony of a witness. A few taps on the 30-second fast forward button effectively managed that part. (I gave the story 4 stars instead of 5 due to the presence of that language and the decision to not edit it out. With the language included, I would not recommend this book to a younger person.)
