The story was good, however, the author is not very good at building strong characters. From side characters to the MC, the author never deeply explored the characters. Perhaps I am a bit spoiled, as I listened to this after the Cradle series by Will Wight (also narrated by Baldree), but I was really disappointed in the lack of exploration into the MCs thoughts and feelings, as though we are always kept afar. Idk how to put it into words.
I hope Wong develops more as an author, because this series has great potential.
