The story is decent and the world is interesting, but the writing style is very choppy. The events in this book feel lightly mentioned, with a lot of potential detail just skimmed over. It almost seems to be a summary of events rather then a telling. Very little character dialog, and thus development, which makes it hard it invest heavily into the characters plight. The narration was also very rough, almost jarring to listen to. At times it felt like Siri was reading.
