I loved this storyline, the depth of character & world building. The production was fabulous and I enjoyed it very much. This was fresh! It takes immense talent to create something new and outside of the formulaic ‘nothing new under heaven and earth’ love story, and Cara Bastone did it. I find her books riveting with depth and nuance, and skilled at suspending reality to immerse me completely into the story.
