A group of scientists are ready to go home but their plane does not show up. What now? Antarctic winder is looming, food supplies are low, there’s no choice but to try and find another way out. The group comprises of people with various professional and personal specialties. Each person is tested to their limit as they realize they are alone at the source of an epidemic. Are their expertise a bit too convenient? I don’t think so. Despite one character having many tools and supplies they need, when they need them, it did not seem too unrealistic given his explanation and allowed the storyline to progress. The microbes may transform the infected into zombie-like creatures but not in the ‘Walking Dead’ shuffling, moaning creatures we so often see. I liked the authors rendition a lot.
Overall enjoyable book. I would love to listen/read another by this author.

The narrator did well voicing all the characters. His accents may not have been perfect but but I think they were still well done. I prefer someone who can impart the feelings into the words and Kevin does that. I would definitely listen to another book he narrates.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and voluntarily left this unbiased review.
