Overall pretty good, but please note that this is not an unbiased account of history, but rather more of a “love letter” to the P-51. The story of how the P-51 was created was great, and I appreciated the plethora of actual accounts from pilots, but man the author really lays it on thick for the Mustang. The author makes a lot of assertions rooted in opinion and conjecture as well. It’s worth a read if you want to get a thorough understanding of the aircraft, just make sure you take opinions and conclusions with a heavy grain of salt.
