By far, the best book of the series in my opinion. The chemistry between the ML and FL was steamy but unfortunately, the story doesn’t really show their development from strangers, to friends, to something more…. instead they fairly quickly rush to steamy content using the inability to keep their hands off of one another troupe… not my favorite. The world development and overall plot were interesting and were the reason I kept reading the series. I didn’t like how the FL was forced into an environment that forced the FL to be reliant on the ML and surrounded her with people that practically idolized the ML… made their relationship feel forced. The writing style makes every turning point in the book predictable and there’s a lot of internal monologue that ends up being very repetitive… unfortunately that is a common theme throughout the series. Overall, this series would’ve been absolutely amazing as a duology but unfortunately, I kept needing to skip through so many parts to get back to the actual plot. I also enjoyed the multiple lives aspect but it’s very rarely actually used to further the plot when it comes to the FL’s experiences and doesn’t remember much either.
