This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Jackson and Annie are high school boyfriend and girlfriend, living in Apple, Massachusetts. Three murders have taken place Every September & October for the past 60+ years. This year, Jackson’s sister Becky (who has a severe psychological disability) predicts there will be twice as many murders, and this year it hits close to home for Jackson and Annie.

Despite the sadness of their families, I enjoyed seeing Jackson and Annie relate to each other about their destructive families. It was nice to see they had someone who could understand their difficult trials that many others couldn’t.

Overall, I enjoyed the book, though it was not quite as suspenseful as I’d hoped. I must say that I did particularly like the epilogue.
