It starts with an interesting premise but it falls flat fairly quickly.

The entire book feels like a really long few opening chapters. No real interesting conflicts arise. The MC has some wins but they are fairly mundane.

There is a lot of repeating what the reader already knows for the benefit of other characters.

I actually was willing to push past all this and started Half Share but only got half way through that before I gave up.

Maybe it gets better somewhere but the story overall feels small, mundane, and ultimately a solid concept became uninteresting.

I would not recommend it, even with the audible subscription.
