This story does a great job of keeping you entertained throughout. Magic, teen angst and small town humor in a fast paced story. I think what I liked most was the unique concept. This book started as a writing prompt on Reddit and turned into a full novel. I thought the way the author took the simple prompt and completely made it her own was really cool, and I enjoyed exploring that in the novel.The only thing that I hope for the next one is more character development and less emphasis on the battles. Andrew Tell did a good job narrating the book.
