I enjoyed this book immensely. After meeting Hartley in the first book of the Sedgwick series, I wasn’t sure how I’d like book 2, but Hartley proved to be an amazingly witty, complex character that I enjoyed getting to know better. Sam’s honest, caring self almost brought tears to my eyes at times. I’d highly recommend this story, but would like to offer a trigger warning for past grooming, manipulation, and abuse.
