I wanted to like this book. Kevin Pierce has a great voice and the premise was interesting, just your average Joe vs the apocalypse. Except Joe wasn’t average, He had tons of coincidences that turned him into a super prepper. In every chapter there were like a dozen things that were just so unbelievable. And then there started being odd inconsistencies as if no one ever edited the book and it was written stream of conscience. One character left a note saying “When I left this note a year ago” How in the world would they know the reader would find it a year later?I couldn’t take it and had to stop after a couple chapters.
