I’m on my 2nd listen now, the introduction of new pov characters is well done and does a great job of expanding our understanding of the realm. our main boys develop more, especially Zach, who is still outshined by Ryun but has really come into himself this volume.
The stat sheets take FOREVER, and for our main pov characters the constant reiteration gets to be a bit much, but they’re a good way to see the heights of power and the different ways power gets expressed in the realm
kudos to I. Kal for getting into so many different minds and personalities without feeling contrived
