Roger Huder does a wonderful job giving you insight into the EMS environment. Roger takes you on a ride along with him from the beginning as they created the first EMS responder teams, continuing his journey through the years and into his retirement. My husband is a Paramedic. I often see him struggling with something that he doesn’t want to talk about. That he doesn’t want to bring back to our home after a long shift. I cannot do what he and countless others do. Roger Huder helps you understand what the personal cost can be for these first responders. A small glimpse into the horror and joy that see in someone’s most vulnerable time of need. I’m grateful that they do it, even when it’s under appreciated by some. They still do it anyway, because it’s just who there are.
Tom Jordan brings Roger Huder’s story to life. There is such an honesty that comes with Tom’s narration. His smooth tone is inviting and warm as he brings the words to life. I could honestly listen to Tom Jordan on repeat. He is quickly becoming one of my favorite narrators.
