In one word – Disappointing.

Don’t let the engaging comments and rating fool you – this here is not a good story, sadly.
Basically it’s the “orphan boy trains day and night for all his life and now he is a badass” cliché, but without any other added value.
The characters are poorly written, lack personality and do not feel human, and make such bad choices without realistic consequences.
The narrator was fine, but it didn’t bring any spirit into the character – even when laughing or crying he still simply read the text.

After 8 hours of listening, there’s some kind of plot-twist that was so disappointing that I decided for the first time to stop listening mid-book and find something else that’d be worth 12 hours of listening.
