The performance was great. Character accents shifted from chapter to chapter making it hard to follow at times exactly who was speaking but other than that is was good.
The book was a good idea gone wrong. The idea of a villain who takes advantage of all of the tropes in fantasy and SF stories to be a really good villain was good. Only the author could find a way to tell the story without becoming cliche. It was a weak storyline reminiscent of the Mac Bolan/Destoyer/Harlequin novels that are just cut and paste plot lines with the names of the characters changed.
