So much so that I’m regretful in not giving it 5×5 star rating across. A. F. Kay crafts another exciting addition to the story of a 16 year old reluctant champion to a goddess who, with his fellowship of companions struggle through quest after quest on ther journey to achieve a goal that has been framed as world-saving. Unfortunately, the author lapses into periods where recites volumes of stat updates that are next to meaningless since the audio format does not lend itself to comprehending all of the inter-relationship to each stat update and all the others. It is in those situations I either mentally tune out the updates or attempt to skip over them so as to not lose the story flow.
Still, I highly recommend this series because, aside from stat dump frustrations, it is worth every bit of a credit.
Travis Baldree continues to put on dispaly his skill as a top-tier narrator.
