Space Force is the story about Americas newest fighting division. Everything they know, all their training is meaninglessness when aliens show up.
It is probably one of the oddest written story’s I’ve read/listened to. It is very meta, and self aware. The main characters, and even secondary characters talk about the writing style and events as they relate to the plot.
It is sarcastic comedy, light on sci-fi and light on action. Most of the story resolves around relationships and personal interactions, with only an occasional action sequence.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book, even though it is very oddly written. The voice acting was well done and the voices fit the characters.
I recommend this book if you like humorous sci-fi, but stay away if you’re looking for serious action or hard core sci-fi.
