Murder at Sleeping Tiger is a great mystery that has a bit everything: a wide range of three dimensional characters, suspense, intrigue, and beautifully written descriptions of the New Mexico landscape. I honestly did not pick the killer until the author was ready for me to know.

The book is very well narrated by Jonathan Beville, who convincingly gives life to a wide range of characters, from the duty-focused sheriff to the elderly jewish woman turned zen master and everyone in between. Overall, I am left with high-hopes for the next book in the Sheriff Ulysses Walker series, and will be keeping my eyes open for the next installment in the series
