Illusions that May is the second book in the Court High series. This book is told from dual points of view from December and Royal. December just found out something about her missing sister, and she wants answers.
December and Royal were going to run away, but Royal sent her on her own. While she was in Arizona she was homeless and just trying to survive. She landed a job at the library and became friends with Ramses. While on her own, she was attacked and brought back to her new home, which she was not happy about. Royal didn’t want her there either.
As the book goes on, December learns more information about her sister, and she doesn’t know who she can trust. Ramses returns because he was originally from there as well.
This book left off on another cliffhanger, and I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series!
