Now I love this series. It has some drama (not heavy), bad jokes, witty banter with bad timing, collateral damage (humans included), and an very VERY lucky MC.. All this sounds like a negative review right? Wrong. Like I said, I love this series. The MC has a heart. Gullible… But has a heart. When most all other humans have turned asshole. This is about a young man who has been given the right to rule, when others could have or may have performed better, during the apocalypse that will reduce the world population by 90%+. So yeah, the MC is under a ton of pressure. Trying to make the human race into a force to be reckoned with. All the things I mentioned before are not things to discourage this book from being read. They are used to show how hard it is for the MC to do what needs to be done. Being a retired Service Member, I can relate to these “bad jokes” when they are being made. It is Comradery. As far as the sounds in the background, I enjoy them to an extent. Just better timing with more accurate sounds. Other than that, Loved it. Great job on the team that made this book come to life.
All in all, I recommend this book along with the whole series.
