First of all I would like to give credit where credit is due here. Kevin Pierce did a fantastic job as usual.
That being said….
I am hypercritical when it comes to the details. More than once I felt like the author was winging it instead of doing his research. I’m sure there’s a lot of folks out there who aren’t as put off by this as much as I am..
But I also felt like the author was mailing it in. There were plenty of times throughout the story that I thought to myself well why would he do that or why would the author say it like that.
The characters felt empty, the storyline is super predictable and the conversation felt scripted.
I literally couldn’t even make it through 16 chapters of the 1st book.
Would not recommend…
