This story is light hearted and fun. When I read the synopsis, I thought it was going to be a typical story of a girl forced to take help from someone she hates and falling in love with him once she gets to know him. This story has a wonderful twist. The heroine has been in the future for 5 years and is desperate to talk to anyone let alone her acquaintance that is completely opposite from her. She has to get this man to befriend her past self in order to keep history from repeating itself. The twist is that her past self is incredibly shy and has literally run away from him. This story has so many layers of getting to know yourself, communicating who you are to other people in a way that they will understand, and finding a way to be comfortable in your own skin. Yes, it is a love story, but it is really so much more than that. It also begs the question, if you could tell your past self to do/not do something that would fundamentally change who you are and what your future looks like, would you be brave enough to do it?
