I would like a Simeon!

I have read and listened to this story several times and each time I fall further in love with these characters. Angel is a battle-hardened necromancer who doesn’t care what anyone thinks of him. And Simeon is a vampire, second-in-command of the clan. But together they somehow make things work. This is the 1st book in a series so it’s all about setting up the beginning of their relationship amidst figuring out who would like Angel dead. Simeon’s support of Angel through these trials melts my heart.

Joel Leslie is one of my favorite narrators and this book is no exception. I love how each major character has their voice (and accent). The emotions portrayed in each scene allows the listener to feel like they’re in the story. There’s never a dull moment listening to one of his narrations.
