I requested and received a complimentary copy of this audiobook from AudioBoom in exchange for an honest review. And I’d kinda like to stop right there. But a review is a review, so here goes. If you’re looking for a short bit of romantic-ish nonsense, this is perfect. If you’re looking for anything more, move on. I tend to listen to books at high-speed, but even at 2.0, I was eager for this one to finish. Here’s the story: Millie and Cade have known and sparred with each other forever. Then there’s a night of incredible, though unplanned, sex. Then it’s back to sparring, except there’s an unexpected balloon ride. But wait, maybe they’ve loved each other all along!!! The end. Sigh. Cute, short, sweet. I guess that’s why I’m giving it three stars – in this day and age, at times cute, short, and sweet is fine.
