I read book 1 because someone said it was hilarious and I just needed a laugh at the time. Book 1 was so damn good that I immediately got Book 2. I finished it so fast that I have a indigestion. I’m getting book 3 as soon as I finish this review.
I have never read a series like this. Its witty, funny, and exciting. I listened with headphones at a doctor’s appointment, and I cackled so loud and for so long that other patients moved away to the other side of the room. The narration just puts it over the top!
The characters grew, relationships were further hashed out, and Mongo the Murder Chicken solidifies his place on the team. There’s mystery, intrigue, Beanie Babies, an unexpected amount of heart, political assassinations/a war brewing over politics, the sad state of some peoples’ lives, the great Ferdinand reveal, eff around and find out moments…it has EVERYTHING and its SO DAMN ENTERTAINING!
The only thing missing in this book? Pants.
