A very addictive, friction-filled, ten year age-gap, arranged marriage that has hate, angst and chemistry swirling and igniting and flaring from every chapter.. along with lies, truths, passion, mystery and many secrets to be uncovered. And I was caught in Natasha Knight’s cleverly constructed dual point of view web which was expertly brought to life by Stefanie and James who did a great job bringing their character’s personalities, emotional conflicts, flare-ups and dilemmas to life.

Madelena was claimed and promised to Mafia son Santos when she was just fifteen and written in the blood they both spilled that day. But the plans twenty-five year old Santos and his family have for the sacrificial pawn would have to wait until she turns twenty. However, that doesn’t stop Santos watching over his possession, stepping in to save her and seek punishment for anyone who touches what’s already his. And the angst, drama, suspense, tension, chemistry, passion and heat that follows their arranged marriage are bridges and stepping-stones bringing them closer.. but mysterious secrets, gray truths and whispered lies tears them apart too with enemies spinning their sinister doubts in their well-crafted evil webs. And what else is evil.. evil.. evil? Well that would be the major unexpected CLIFFHANGER ending that nearly launched my phone into my bedroom’s wall!!

Worth a credit? Yes definitely, but I don’t think I would’ve started this if I’d known it had a cliffhanger ending – let’s hope book 2 follows shortly behind this one.. because my phone’s still not safe 😤🫢😉.
