Deal Maker was the very first book I’ve read by this author and why I fell so hard for her style. Naturally, I was incredibly excited to get the chance to revisit Jude, Asa, and all the wonderful secondary characters in Deal Maker and hear their story come to life.
I’ve always enjoyed Mr. Leslie’s narration. He has an easy rhythm and smooth delivery that fits so many characters and books well, and yet I still was wowed by just how seamlessly his tone and voice fit these characters. His intonations expressed the emotion of the scenes perfectly- whether spoken or unspoken- making Jude’s fun, flirty personality sparkle and the snarky banter between characters that much more fun. When I started Deal Maker, I couldn’t imagine loving it any more than the first time I read the e-book, but this audiobook achieved just that. I loved listening to it, laughing along with Jude’s antics, and falling in love with this couple and all the people In Asa’s household all over again.
