The story is different, I knew that going in and the start is actually pretty good. But then it really bogs down in the grinding and musings of the main character, Sir Crabby. I saw it through and wish I could say it redeemed itself and has me chomping at the bit for book two. Alas, this will be the first and last Sir Crabby book for me.
The Narrator was good and did keep it interesting as best as he could. It was just too much deep musings about the system, and not enough about the actual story that it starts with. I love Ryan’s other stories but I would be hesitant to recommend this one unless you are really into crabs (actually not that bad a part of the story) or the musings of gods and system universe or the interworkings of the dungeon worlds.
