Like many people who have left reviews, I about gave up around halfway. I was just bored and couldn’t figure out who to emotionally invest in.
it did start to get better, but then just… ended. I’m so thoroughly disappointed in this book.
And the performance didn’t help at all. it’s like he didn’t even try to differentiate voices. It was just so bad. It wasn’t a performance, it was a simple reading. Add that to the fact, that it was so obviously slowed down intentionally (listen for 5 mins at 1.25, then switch back to 1.0 and you’ll see what I mean), I just can’t get on board.
