I want to start off by saying that I am a fan of this work so maybe I am a bit biased, that being said I am very picky with the stories I dedicate it time to and cannot stand poor writing or plot.

Positives: continues strongly from the first book and we get right into the action of advancing the floors. There is some sped up time to allow our characters to progress at a pace where the story will be best served, but it is fluid and doesn’t feel too rushed. The overall story was well laid out and we get some questions answered somewhat.

Now to the negatives: without spoiling anything I feel like the author needs to make sure that at least in the next book to focus on their character development to make them act in a more natural way as time goes on. Naturally as people spend more time together their relationships tend to evolve as well. From start to finish you don’t see much of that in this book, where we start is basically where we end with the relationships except for one that I feel is being forced to developer on a certain direction but that I personally do not feel is in character for that person.

Other than those small qualms and the fact that nothing really happens in this book until the end it was a good book. Hopefully the author isn’t going to release anymore short books as a money grab and actually puts a whole story together like in the first book again. Still a good book.
