I read this one first, and that was just fine

The original trilogy was unavailable when I purchased this, I didn’t even realize that it was the prologue to this series when I bought it, and didn’t even know after listening to the whole thing!

I highly recommend this and the first three books, and while it’s written as a continuation of the series, it stands on its’ own just fine.

Morin creates a rich tapestry of a world with this series. I *binged* like nothing other than his Black Ocean serial.
