I had to for this one. I listen to A LOT of books. I tend to gravitate towards historical fiction, rom com, trashy romances, and thriller/mysteries with the occasional memoir or nonfiction title mixed in. I adamantly DO NOT enjoy sci fi/paranormal/fantasy or anything close to that realm. Cara Bastone has become a favorite over the past few years with her Audible Original rom coms, but I was hesitant about this one simply because of the time travel aspect. Would my deep dislike of that trope outweigh my appreciation of her delightful tales of love? NOPE. NOT EVEN A LITTLE BIT. Sweet and funny with delightful characters and enough commentary on real issues without becoming political or preachy, I thoroughly enjoyed this newest addition to her portfolio.
