Usually the description mentions when a book is a Christian focused story or the sample would give a clue, bit it doesn’t, so I’m mentioning it now.

This is a story of a Christian family, traveling by horse, foot or any means possible to reach Utah. Imagine the power going out and the Waltons or the Ingalls family have a terrible fright and get a move on out of town. Thankfully, one family has their Revival tent with them so they can all worship the Lord our Savior in their time of need. Accepting all of God’s plan for them, they have a carefree adventure that is extremely boring.

After about 10 chapters, I realized this book is not for me. I’m not planning on listening anymore and will be returning it promptly.

I’ve enjoyed several Grace Hamilton books, but this one is completely different than her others. I do appreciate that she doesn’t drop f-bombs and other gratuitous fowl language, but I do enjoy a little adversity. It is the end of the world after all.
