This world was so intriguing, I need a sequel!
Obviously, it’s Joel Leslie’s wonderful narroration so each character is easy to place in conversation and they are filled with personality & depth but I have to give it up to the author as well.
The magic within this world, it’s politics and it’s rules leave so much room for growth that I’m hoping for more in the future.
World-building in the beginning was slow but the pay-off was totally worth it, especially with the last few moments of the story.
I was really hoping for an epilogue, the final minute of this book felt like an after credits scene in a movie with the ‘dun, dun’ drop, screen goes black and you’re sitting there already coming up with theories for part 2.
