I made it to the end barely.

At first the mc has a chip on her shoulder that was very hard to ignore. As the story progresses she mellows out but the plot line drags hard. The only reason there was any interest in the book was a very blatant tease of some big secret for half the book. Only to reveal the secret with no resolution making the climax feel like a cheap ploy to buy the next book. The ending could have made or broke the book and it crashed hard.
