I kept hoping the story would move somewhere redemptive, and maybe it did. I agree there should be a warning label for anyone who has experienced any sort of molestation trauma, themselves or others. I could take the emotional relationship development between the very underaged girl and the male character who had also experienced abuse.. but the sexualized content was too difficult or me. The author makes it clear that they are binding around abuse, but wow.. too much for me. The sexualized content with a young abused girl by a ‘good guy’ abused man felt like the author was leading me to have compassion for the characters.. the girl’s perspective places the seduction as being the girl’s responsibility. The sexualized moments were to soft porn to for me to feel like I was reading anything other than another Lolita type story.
