I read this book in June 2022 and was so excited to read Will’s story…plus I adore Blue and Levi…so when the book was released on audio and performed by one of my favorites – Joel Leslie, listening was a no-brainer.
Joel brings these characters to life and his ability to create so many voices for each character is astounding to me every time I listen to him.
Here is my original review of the book:
OMG…WILL! This book can be read as a standalone but there is no reason not to read Levi and Blue’s story and it gives a little bit of Will’s history and introduces Jem.
Will absolutely has my heart even though it breaks a little bit each time he mentions his past or what he doesn’t have now because of it. He is such a gentle giant who is amazing to those he considers his and great to those he doesn’t. He is working on figuring out his life and what he wants to do with it, but he does have help now from not only Blue but Tom and Tarquin as well.
Jem is kind of amazing too. He loves with his whole heart when he finds the right person. He’s had a few bad experiences as well and is slow to trust. He’s cheeky but sweet. He wants nothing more than a partner in life if it’s the right one. He and Will are perfect together.
I didn’t care for the girls in Ben’s crew…they bothered me. The paranormal activity is good but long. There were a few points of fast page-turning to see what would happen, but it took me four days to read it.
It sounds like these two will be off on another adventure with Liam and Ben. Here’s hoping the girls don’t tag along on that one.
