I love this series.

OMG. This series is phenomenal!!! The characters are so well developed and even when they are unlikable they are loveable, well, the ones that we’re supposed to love are anyway. The grief, suffering, and guilt are believable as are the dialogue and behaviours. The storyline and themes are also well developed and fascinating as is the interaction between characters, in particular, Nicolae and Mason. I loved reading about the characters from book 1 and how they have changed and grown and the impact they have on the lives around them.

I listened to this book which was narrated by Kirt Graves. He does a phenomenal job with the emotions and accents needed in this story. I’m sure it was a bit of a challenge switching so seamlessly from a Russian to a Southern accent as needed. If you even remotely like listening to books then this is definitely the way to go.
