She brought us another amazing, heartbreaking, sweet and extremely hot book!!!
We met Hawke in Salvation (The Protectors 2), and I must confess that I got intrigued and drawn to this hurting and grieving guy. To hear him talking about losing his wife and how much hurt he carried inside was heartbreaking and I really hoped he would have a second chance at love, because, boy, he really deserved it…
Tate was a sweet surprise. How he turned out such a lovely guy after all he went through in life is a mystery… He overcame his past, had to pay for other’s sins, but never lost his pure and beautiful heart and soul.
Hawke and Tate first encounter was explosive! Totally unpredictable and disturbing for both parts… How could anything good happens between these two hurting souls? Both of them were running from their pasts and hiding their feelings and their hearts in a minor chance of protecting themselves from more hurt… but all they achieved was to fool themselves… because life has a way of showing us that we deserve to love and be loved, and sometimes, we all have a second chance of finding our soul mates….
Matty is a magnet… this sweet, hero worshipping kid will steal your heart, like he did mine. If you’re looking for a hero in this book, you’ll realize that one of the heroes is Matty… This little kid is the strongest and bravest I have ever seen… and I loved him from the start, until the last page of this book.
This is a rollercoaster of feelings and sometimes I had to remind myself of all that Hawke had lost, to understand his behavior and drawbacks… But I can assure you that they more than made up for all the heart dropping we went through reading it. These guys have such a deep connection, that overcome everything and turns into the most deep and beautiful love ever…
Hawke, Tate and Matty will always have a special place in my heart.
