I LOVE this book. It’s an emotional rollercoaster with a delicious side of snark and got me right from the beginning. I adored Dylan from the very beginning, and as the story advanced I keep falling deeper and deeper 😛
Gabe took me a little more time to warm up to, as he was so hidden behind his walls that the only thing I could see was how he was hurting Dylan.
I love that the relationship between these two is messy and hot and painful. There were moments when I thought they were truly done. And if I’m going to be honest, after Gabe’s ‘gift’ on Valentine’s Day I was ready to bid good riddance to him. Such a hurtful, horrifying time! And I wanted to kill Gabe in very painful ways and then wrap Dylan in a blanket and tell him how brave he was and that he deserved better 🙁
As I said at the beginning, a real emotional rollercoaster. But I loved every second of it. I simply couldn’t stop listening, and I will reading/listening to the rest of the books on this series and whatever from this author I can get my hands on.
Amazing!
And the narration by Joel Leslie was excellent, a perfect choice.
