I love the story but the narrator ruins the story

I’ve already read the book but wanted to have the audio book too, since I love the story so much.

Unfortunately I can’t stand the narrator’s voice/tone/style. To me it honestly feels like the narrator can’t be bothered to try – like she doesn’t really want to be doing this.

Regardless, the story is easy and fun. The characters are likable, and I really adore that the MC is in her 22’s (versus all the 15-18 year olds). The world-building is interesting; I want to see more from this world in the future!
