This story had some good aspects to it, but reads like fan fiction. It disregards The Hellbound Heart in favor of the film. It references events and people, such as Harry d’Amour, from The Scarlet Gospels but fails to place itself logically within the timeline. Not to mention The Hell Priest is only about as strong as Frank Cotton for this story. It isn’t written poorly and there are some threads that I want to hear more about, but overall the story just feels out of place.
